Ceyu is an infinite whiteboard and a full project planning suite in one workspace. You put references, concept art, video and 3D models on a canvas, and you plan the work around them without opening a second tool. It is local-first, which means your boards are files on your own disk and the application carries on working when there is no connection.

If your brief starts on a canvas and ends as a list of tasks, the two halves belong in one place. If your work is purely a list of tasks, a plain project tool will serve you just as well.

The desktop application runs locally and boards you create stay on your machine. You only need an account for the parts that involve a server, which are cloud sync, real-time collaboration, share links and billing.

Minutes. Open a board, drag a folder of references onto it from Explorer or Finder, and they are placed at full resolution. There is nothing to configure first. No custom fields, no workflow to model, and no workspace to set up before the first board exists.

No. The same workspace runs in a modern browser, which is enough to look around. Install the desktop application when you want the local-first part. That is where the files sit on your own disk, boards open with no network, and the clipboard watcher runs.

Yes, from Miro, FigJam, Excalidraw and Mural. Export from the other tool, drop the file into Ceyu, and objects, text and layout come across. Import is available from the Plus plan.

Task lists move by CSV, which carries titles, dates, assignees and status. There is no direct importer for those three today, so anything richer has to be rebuilt. Custom fields, automations and dependency graphs do not come across. It is worth being honest about that before you plan the switch rather than after.

Objects, text, images and layout come across. What stays behind are app-specific widgets, live embeds that only exist inside the other product, and anything driven by that product's automation. Plan on redrawing those. Everything else lands where it was.

Yes, and it is the sensible way to do it. The free plan does not expire and takes no card, so you can import one real board, run the next sprint in both, and decide with evidence instead of with a trial clock ticking.

Miro is a whiteboard without a plan. Asana, monday.com and Trello are plans without a board. Notion is a wiki. ClickUp has both and is still a cloud service that holds your files and your keys. Images as JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and SVG. Video as MP4 and WEBM with frame-accurate scrubbing. Multi-page PDFs. 3D models as GLB and GLTF with textures. You can paste from the clipboard, drop a URL from the browser, and embed YouTube, Vimeo, Loom and Sketchfab.

There is no fixed cap in the application. What limits you is the disk the board lives on and, if you sync, the storage in your plan. A board is a folder of files rather than a row in a database. Very large videos run more smoothly if you place a proxy and keep the master beside it.

No. The file you place is the file that is stored. Ceyu writes a small preview for the canvas and leaves the original untouched, which is why an exported board can be handed to a client without a second thought.

Yes. Hovering a video reveals the transport, and the left and right arrow keys move exactly one frame at a time, which is what you need to judge an arc or the anticipation before a hit. A-B looping and onion skinning are on the roadmap and are not built yet.

The canvas itself has no edge. In practice the limit is the machine. Images are streamed at the resolution the current zoom needs rather than decoded at full size, so a board of 4K textures does not exhaust memory the moment you open it, but a board with thousands of heavy objects will eventually feel it.

Always. The boards are files in your user profile directory, so a copy is a copy, and export is available on every plan including the free one. Nothing about leaving is gated. A product that keeps you by making the exit expensive is not one you should trust with a studio.

Real-time collaboration is available from Pro. Everyone in the session sees each other's cursors and changes as they happen. Clients can instead be given a read-only link, which needs no account and takes no seat.

Offline edits queue up and reconcile when the connection returns. Where an automatic merge would not be safe, Ceyu keeps both versions rather than quietly discarding one, and the board's version history lets you go back either way.

Yes. A read-only share link needs no account and takes no seat, so showing work to a client costs nothing and adds nobody to your bill. They can look at the board and they cannot change it.

Yes. Members hold roles inside a workspace, and an organisation admin can set a workspace-wide local-only policy that disables cloud sync for everyone rather than relying on each person to leave it off. On Enterprise, single sign-on and SCIM provisioning mean leavers are deactivated from your directory instead of by someone remembering.

That is most of the point of a board. The canvas is there when you arrive, the version history says what changed since you left, and comments sit on the object they are about rather than in a chat channel where they scroll away. Real-time sessions are available from Pro when you do overlap.

On your own disk, in your user profile directory. Ceyu writes there first and reads from there first, and that is why the application keeps working with no connection at all. If you enable cloud sync, an encrypted copy is additionally kept on the server, and the plaintext never leaves your device.

The encryption key is generated on your device and never sent to the server. Board content is encrypted before upload and decrypted only after download. What sits on the server is ciphertext that we cannot read. That is not a promise not to look, it is an inability to.

To be precise about where that line runs, this covers board and workspace content. Account data such as your email address, organisation membership, role and billing reference is ordinary processed data and is described in the privacy policy.

Yes. An organisation admin can set a workspace-wide local-only policy, which disables cloud sync for everyone rather than relying on each person to leave it off. Studios working under NDA generally want this.

No. Your workspace content is not used to train models. AI features are opt-in, and when you use one, only the context you selected for that request is sent to the model provider listed in the subprocessor list. With AI features switched off, nothing is sent.

Ceyu is built and operated under the GDPR. There is a documented processing register, a published subprocessor list, defined retention periods and a process for access, correction and deletion requests. Use the data request page or write to privacy@ceyu.org.

Only if you agree to it. Google Analytics is loaded, and a cookie set, only after you press Accept on the banner. Decline and nothing is requested from Google at all. There are no external fonts and no advertising network, and the advertising signals stay denied whatever you choose. Details in the cookie notice.

If cloud sync is on, an encrypted copy is on the server and the boards come back on the next machine you sign in from. If you have deliberately kept everything local, the copy on that disk was the only copy. That is the trade you made, and those boards belong in whatever backup you already run.

Backups are encrypted at rest on a rolling window of roughly 30 days. Deletion is defined per data class and verified within 30 days. Both are written down on the security page rather than only being true.

Anyone who can open or edit content in your workspace. Clients you invite through a read-only share link are not users and are not billed.

Yes, and it has no expiry date. Three boards, three projects, standard image formats, local storage. No card required to start and no card required to keep going.

Yes. Upgrades are charged pro rata for the remainder of the period and unlock immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal, so you keep what you paid for until then.

Nothing is deleted. Because Ceyu is local-first, the boards on your disk stay yours and stay openable. Beyond the Basic limits they become read-only in the app until you are back within the plan or upgrade again, and you can export at any time.

The Pro yearly plan starts with a 7 day trial, so you can cancel before any money moves. Every other plan is charged at checkout, and all of them can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase without you having to give a reason. Write to support@ceyu.org. The full terms are in the refund policy, and consumers in the EU additionally have the statutory right of withdrawal.

Creem acts as merchant of record. They process the payment, issue the invoice and handle VAT for your country. Ceyu never sees your card details.

Get in touch through support and describe your situation. We would rather look at the case than publish a rule that fits nobody.

Write through the support form or to support@ceyu.org and a person reads it, because Ceyu is small enough that this is literally true. The Discord is usually faster for a question someone else has already hit, and Studio plans get priority support.
